Matt Woods, President

Matt Woods was elected President to a

three-year term beginning January 1, 2020. Tony Fischer was elected Vice President
and Megan Meyer was elected Secretary/Treasurer.

“It is the greatest honor for me to serve the city of Cincinnati through Charter.  Charter has served as Cincinnati’s watchdog for good governance and I am excited to continue on the legacy of so many incredible board members before me and that continue to this day.  There is no doubt in the coming year that Charter will continue its growth as a political powerhouse in Cincinnati politics.”

Matt Woods has been a valued member of the Charter board since 2018.  He currently lives in Westwood with his wife, Kira and three children. Matt is a local small business owner as the Chief Executive Officer and owner of Acme Lock and Woods Hardware with six locations in the greater Cincinnati area. Prior to taking over the day-to-day operations of his store, Matt served his country in the Ohio Army National Guard.

Matt succeeds Bob Dehner, under whose leadership Charter was instrumental in implementing good government policies by helping lead the campaign to return City Council terms to two years, reform City Council campaign finance laws, and ensure City Council can conduct appropriate business in executive session. With Bob at the helm of Charter, Ben Lindy was elected to the Cincinnati School Board as an endorsed Charter candidate.
